Stephanie's innate need to create has led her through the use of many media including drawing, painting, photography and clothing design.
Stephanie completed the Associate Diploma of Arts in Fashion (1989 - 1990) at the ACT Institute of Technical and Further Education. This included
studies in Design and Textiles, and Stephanie was awarded the Institute Medal for Outstanding Achievement. Also during her studies she was a State Finalist in the Australian Wool Corporation's "Young Designer Awards" for which she received a Special Commendation.
Her studies led her to a career in the Fashion Industry learning many aspects of the industry and finally settling in Melbourne working as a contract pattern maker and as the in-house pattern maker for a large designer label.
During this time she discovered felt making and spent any spare hours practicing and developing her new skill. Having always been passionate about top quality wool and natural fibres, through the art of felt making, she has found the perfect medium to take her art forward.
Stephanie's creative journey now takes her into the sensuous world of Australian Merino Wool which she transforms into art in the form of felted wearables and homewares. Felted scarves, felted wraps, bed throws, table runners and wall hangings are just some of the items included in Stephanie's range. Only the best quality fibre is used which ensures you of a soft, luxurious product which is a joy to handle, wear or welcome into your home.
